Today is a sad day for me.
I may as well say it loud and clear. As the subject title indicates on this impromptu post, I will be taking a break off the internet on an extremely short notice. Once again, Real Life calls for me. And in a most unpleasant and unsettling manner, might I add.
The date of my return is currently unknown. I will resume an extremely quiet status for now--until life has finally died down.
All requests, fan fictions, and such that I initially promised to do will be put on hold until I return. My deepest apologies to those kept waiting for so long.
As it is, this unfortunately means that I definitely will be gone, for some time off the internet. I am very sorry to all the people on my f-list for not keeping up good contact, updating, or responding to any new posts as I had initially promised. :(
And so . . . farewell for now.
Progress with Fictional Stories:
40-50% . . . . *cue dramatic wailing*
A rather obnoxious update since I have almost nothing to ramble about or talk about, save for a little meme I snagged off a fellow. (I keep finding them /everywhere/) -- in slight hopes of looking at least a bit more alive and not so dead and quiet.
Ahem. In any case, below is a list of several questions I have been rather curious to know addressing my small f-list (or at least to those few who know me a bit better than by LJ alias alone). :-)1. Why did you add me?
2. Have I ever annoyed you a whole heaping lot?
3. Do you like me?
4. Do we talk a lot?
5. If you answered no to 4, how do you think we can talk more?
6. Do you think I update too much?
7. Do my posts annoy you?
8. Have I ever offended you on accident?
9. If you answered yes to 8, is there a way I can make up for it?
10. Lastly, are there any questions, or anything you want to know about me?
Additionally, how many people here happen to know and love the wonderful series known as Ouran High School Host Club
? It is a *fabulous* anime/manga series to watch for uncontrollable laughs, and infectious grinning after the initial five minutes. After all, I am firmly convinced the entire show is practically a parody by itself, with all its silly characters and its very nature. It is all-in-all highly entertaining (Haruhi! Tamaki! Kaoru & Hikaru!), and worth recommendation to watch via YouTube, or through Torrent/subbed episodes
. Truly, you are missing out on a brilliant series if you have not yet watched it. *g*
(. . . . . On an entirely different note: watching all thirteen episodes of 'Paranoia Agent' in one day is a paroxysm of melancholy just waiting to happen. AGGGH -- as wonderful as the plot, the symbolism/themes, and the characters are-- this series remains as an antithesis to "happiness" and "humor"!)

Explain your LiveJournal name and its meaning. When you're done, tag as many people as there are letters in your name.
I chose my LJ name, Psyched Kagura
because of its double meaning--and my guiltier reason, because of its creativity. 'Psyched' refers to a great deal of terms, although I used it for the definition: To analyze, solve, or comprehend
-- a favorite pastime of mine. 'Kagura' is a Japanese name referring the ancient Shinto dancing and music
. Shintoism has always interested me in the Japanese culture, hence the reason I go by this alias.
...However, a cheaper and likely more easier-to-comprehend reason is for my name is its vague reference to Sohma Kagura, a character from the series Fruits Basket. 'Psyched' can also mean 'excite emotionally'--an interesting trait of Kagura, who also happens to be one of my favorite characters.
Concerning the second part to this meme, though, I am not planning to tagging anyone on my f-list, although anyone who has never done this meme before and is still interested in doing it can still do so.
On another note altogether, I have been noticing far too many people who have been using exposition in literature as a cheap plot device for their prose/fan fictions. With careful writing and in the hands of a good writer, exposition can be interesting and often enjoyable to read, though nevertheless, I highly urge anyone considering to use a lot of exposition in their stories to consider distributing the information as carefully as you can. This is because I have found that under the hands of a careless writer, exposition become one of the worst methods of handing out the details directly to the reader. I state now that no reader will be highly interested in a story that has ridiculous chunks of explanatory paragraphs and they may abandon it if it becomes redundant. It is usually one of the signs of poor planning as well; to maintain a far smoother and more interesting prose I advise cutting out the exposition when it is in the form of terribly long, wordy paragraphs, and then either re-wording it, or (if possible) writing it as a scene, or otherwise handling the exposition text in a more brief, concise and sprinkling it into passages at intervals in your passages.
And now, a meme I nicked off a fellow LJ user. Give me a link to any of your older prose work, and I will give you a well-rounded and informative critique of the story after I read it. Note that this is a critique
, not endless praise, and although I may point out the better points of your story, it will mainly be directed at strengthening the weakest points of your writing style and of the story itself. (Although, please know that you are not obliged to participate.)

The meme-of-memes I keep finding everywhere but never try out for myself. At least until now.Tell me of a fandom you know I know of and I'll tell you:
1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise
And, what the hell, here is a little RL whining as well.( Har, har, harCollapse )
Regarding chapter 305 (which came out today) . . .
Kishimoto, I have lost all faith in you. Utterly, I believe. This chapter has killed be in a bad, bad, OMFG way which grew steadily worse. This chapter has also left me very displeased with where the manga is currently heading.
(Admittedly, there were still some good points, but the rest? Horrid. Especially that one part that has disappointed me beyond logic and literally ruined the entirety of this most recent chapter.)why is everyone on chuunin so delighted about this chapter? why? *headdesk* I was actually very disappointed by it overall.
And Sai? Yeah, I hate you, now. D:
*grumbles* Unrealistic ANBU-Root wannabe . . .
[Shamelessly snagged off flowed
To practice my literary fingers for all those many requests from before . . .The first 15 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you
(Exceptions if they REALLY don't want to do it; or they cannot). Post all fandoms you're willing to write for.
Your friends can pick a relationship, a story arc, a missing scene, or pretty much anything they want, unless the author has previously mentioned that they will not write it. They comment with what they want, and you write drabbles and post it in your LiveJournal.Fandoms:
Naruto, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Shaman King, D.N.Angel.

I am currently working on other things (I.e rants, request fics). But for some interest, I give out more community pimpage and a fic rec.
- Lovely, creative community made by the awe-inspiring ero_kitsune
. Currently brand new, but in need of more members. This one is a community that needs
more members. It is made for the platonic, friendly relationship between Uzumaki Naruto and Hyuuga Neji. I am in literally in love with this comm already.
- Another comm made by me. After I noticed that apparently there were no communities dedicated to the possible relationships between the Uchiha and Hyuuga people. Crack pairings, yaoi, yuri, and threesomes, are all welcomed here as long as they are related to any Uchiha X Hyuuga pairing you support. (Such as SasuHina, NejiSasu, ItaHana, etc) Join if you are so inclined. This community is also (once again) in need of a default icon.
- Self-explanatory. For all Kabuto/Hinata fans. If you are a crack lover or a supporter of this pair, you can join.
- The comm for the Sane Sasuke/Sakura fans, since the rest are either quite young or batshit insane. (If you mind I am pimping it, please tell me White Rain.) This is a private community, and there are certain requirements needed for a fan to join. Made for good fic, serious discussion, and all the things I enjoy about this pairing aside from its characters.
- For Uchiha Shisui, the character who is possibly more of an enigma than his clan-killer buddy, Uchiha Itachi. The best friend who was killed off pretty quickly and never got any screentime. Ah well, I have found many interesting versions of what he may be like, and what he might look like. This comm clearly needs some love.obscure_haze
- My empty little fic journal. I never knew how many requests I would get for the last meme, and to make up for it I make a little journal to post all my ficcage in. I will likely not use it often
because I like this journal more
, but from time to time I will.NaruTen Ficcage
. Written by ero_kitsune
. Characterization is wonderful, interactions are adorably done, and the little details scattered here and there are stunning. Posted in the NaruTen comm, I adore it to death. Some read&reviews by the other members would be pretty nice, no?
Oh and the word, pulchritudinous simply means attractive
? Somehow this word amuses me to no end. It is fifteen letters for something so simple. Then again, perhaps this is because it is a heterological word.
I dub this one the Crack Pairing Meme, a counter-part to the Rant meme from below. While my last one is far more serious, this one will be more . . . light-hearted. I am only doing this because I am currently sleep deprived.
--Give me a list of your favorite crack pairings (in no particular order) in any fandom I know of, and I will write them all out one day in the form of either drabbles, one-shots, or possibly an actual series. Yaoi, het, yaoi, yuri, incest. Until my head blows up, just lay them on me. I will re-edit this post after I decide to stop.--
(But PLEASE, no crossover pairings or character/item. They are impossible
Prompts are not necessary. Just give me your most crackiest pairings, and I will see what I can do.
Fandom I know: D.N Angel, Naruto, Inu Yasha, Bleach, etc.Request List
| |9 crack pairings|
| |Too long to keep organized|
| |TemaNeji, TemaNejiIno, Dark/Riku, Ishida/Nemu, Naraku/Kikyo|
| |Genma/Kurenai/Kakashi, Sango/Sesshoumaru, Kankuro/TenTen, NaruTen, Gaa/Tema, Sesshoumaru/Kikyou, InoNejiTema|
| |Kabuto/Sasuke, Kankurou/Temari, Gaara/Hinata|
(NOTE: Looking at this list, I know cannot guarantee I will get through all your crack pairings. I will try to cover most (if you have over two), but I cannot claim I can complete all of them. bubble
will likely have the best chances of all because they were the first posters here.)Edit:
That is it. I give up now. Please, no more requests. Those who got in your pairings -- consider yourself fortunate.

I want to rant. To anyone who is particularly interested in this . . .
Give me a topic and/or a pet peeve of yours that you wish to see me rant about. I will get back to you on it then rant for an entire post's worth (cannot say they will all be lengthy) afterward, specifically about it. But, please, do not let it be either about politics or Yaoi/Yuri things in general, though; I am terrible at keeping unbiased at these.
